School Self-Evaluation
School self-evaluation is a continuous process of review undertaken by schools to improve the quality of education provided. The process followed is in line with the guidelines on school self-evaluation issued by the Department of Education.
Each year our school reviews our school routines, practices and curriculum. As a result of these reviews areas are prioritised for more in-depth evaluation. However the school does not have total autonomy in School Self Evaluation and has to balance both school and system goals as outlined in circular 56/22. This circular requires that our school make provision for: Context specific school priorities, national well being goals, national curriculum goals and other national strategies and initiatives.
At present the school is engaged in the 3rd cycle of School Self Evaluation 2022-2026. In this cycle the school has a three year plan focusing on the following areas:
Primary Maths Curriculum (Introduction, Implementation and Embedding)
- Wellbeing.
- Promotion of Gaeilge.
- Physical Education Review.
